The ABC’s and All of Me is a child-friendly approach to teaching young children to read and rejoice in their
individual learning styles. Through music, movement, and sensory-play experiences they master letter names and
sounds in a parent/teacher friendly, systematic way. They also master other research proven early literacy skills
that lead them joyfully into the wonderful world of reading.
“See it, say it, trace it, play it. Sing our letter song.”
Letter names and sounds (phonics), and phonemic awareness (recognizing individual sounds in words) are first introduced
through music and movement with The ABC’s and All of Me learning song, the foundation of our program. The Classical ABCs
coupled with multisensory activity mats/sheets reinforce these skills and maximize retention.
Large, color-coded letters are used to teach the order of the (handwriting) strokes. Children use sensory materials to create
the letters before formally writing them.
Through interacting with the text from our ABC song, children learn that we read from “top to bottom,” “left to right,”
and we “backsweep” at the end of each line (concepts of print).
They are introduced to (and eventually learn to read) over 30 kindergarten “see it, say it” (high frequency) words in
our ABC song. They also learn to read and spell simple “say the sound” (cvc) words using their bodies.
Before you know it, your children are reading interactive “ABC Readers” based on our ABC’s and All of Me learning song!
These are stories with kid-appeal that “read as we speak,” thus sustaining the natural flow of language (fluency).
What does this mean? It means that your children will not be “left behind” as they begin their journey into literacy
in the preschool, homeschool or public school setting.
Whether auditory, visual, or tactile/kinesthetic learners, they will find success . . .
because the ABCs and All of Me teaches the whole child, naturally, the way children learn best!
